Lately, I've found that I'm in this sort of conditioning mode. It started off a couple weeks ago with watching tv until way too late, then staying up even later watching the Gilmore Girl Dvds my sister brought Joel and I back from China. At first, we were going to bed around 4 in the morning, and then that turned into 5, then 6, and now...now we're on 7. Yes, 7 in the morning. What does one do until 7 in the morning? Watch dvds, chat online, drink coffee, etc etc. I think I've become nocturnal. I'm not sure what to think of it, aside that I'm conditioning. For what exactly? For the social life I intend to have when I arrive in LA, which has yet to be determined. Or, if we think about it more realistically, I'm conditioning for my hibernation. What other way can I better avoid people, then becoming nocturnal? I like the first reasoning for my conditioning, maybe a combination of both will work...
I'm not the only one in the family currently conditioning. The last week or so, we've left Zissou's carrier out for him to get use to prior to our big trip. We placed it right next to Joel's smoking chair, and as encouragement, anytime he goes in, he gets a treat. Well, I'm not sure how it happened, but everytime Joel goes near the chair, Zissou run into his carrier and waits for his treat! He's even closing the door behind him! Sometimes, Zissou will even go into his carrier when we're just hanging out and Joel's not in the smoking chair. It's the cutest thing.
